George Slusser, CCIM serves as Chief Growth Officer of Sperry Van Ness International. He first joined SVN as Chief Operating Officer in 2010 and is responsible for the execution of the organic and external growth strategies. Slusser has provided a wealth of industry experience and proven success helping lead SVN to three straight years of significant growth. Sperry Van Ness was recently named as one of the Top 10 most recognized brokerage brands by the 2013 annual Lipsey Survey.
George has helped facilitate rapid growth at many national firms prior to joining Sperry Van Ness. He is a nationally recognized expert in the field of M&A, personally participating in over 300 acquisitions, mergers, and franchise sales in his career. He has served as Executive Vice President of Xceligent, a national property research company, Principal in a successful commercial real estate advisory firm, and has held various senior executive positions with CENDANT, GMAC, and Merrill Lynch respectively.
During his tenure with Cendant (Realogy) Slusser was a member of the company’s senior leadership team and served as President and COO of Coldwell Banker Commercial. He helped lead this top 10 commercial real estate company to three straight years of 20%+ annual growth, outperforming the market exponentially with annual sales topping $15 billion. . He also serves on the board of a number of innovative and progressive companies.
Slusser is a strategic thinker with the rare ability to implement and generate exceptional results. He received his MBA in Marketing from the University of Georgia and his Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University. He is a published author and accomplished speaker, having written the industry best-selling book Acquiring Profit, a guide to real estate mergers and acquisitions.
