Connie Capone is an accomplished investment and business professional with significant experience helping emerging companies grow efficiently and solving strategic and operational challenges. Most recently, Connie was the CEO of ePropertyData (ePD), a software company serving the commercial real estate market. ePD was merged in May of 2012 after a two year turnaround of the business. She also served as the EIR (entrepreneur in residence) at Argonne National Laboratory, representing various venture capital firms’ interests in Lab technology.
In 2008 and 2009, Connie operated her own investment firm. In a significantly capital constrained environment, she secured financing for one, and assisted in the sale of two, early stage Chicago-based technology companies.
Prior to this, she spent 11 years as a Partner with JK&B Capital, a leading Chicago based venture capital firm focused on communication devices and components, software and service companies. As an early member of the firm she helped grow the Fund from $120 million to over $1 billion under management. Connie was directly responsible for many of the firm’s successful exits including CoreTek, EZChip (EZCH) and Ubiquity Software
Prior to joining JK&B, she spent five years as a Senior Manager at Booz Allen & Hamilton working on various operations and strategy projects across a broad number of industries.
Connie started her career in auditing at Price Waterhouse in 1987. After earning a CPA, she transitioned into the Systems Consulting Group where she programmed and installed SAP financial software for DuPont Corporation.
Connie earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University with distinction and high honors.
